Hi Michael,
I agree.... One of things that blew my socks off when I first used PHP is
the absolute simplicity in retrieving data from something like MySQL. 4
lines of code to create a connection, run a query and populate an array with
the values is just too easy. There is never (in the foreseeable future)
going to be a time when we will need to port our PHP & MySQL stuff to
anything else, so it isn't a problem.
Database connectivity in PHP (in our opinion) is second to none. Which is
why I said that the review was ALMOST accurate. Should have got an 'A+'
without a doubt.
