I have used this code a fair bit, and I havent had problems, Im using linux.
the only differences I can see that I have used are.
1. I did fsocketopen("somehost",100,$$errno, &$errstr,30)
2. I had fgets($connection,512);
It sounds like its probably trying to recieve too much data. Perhaps.
