I am not using imap_close() at the end of each page. The TCP connection between IMAP server and Web server , as you said that just float around for a while. The number of connection is less than 10 in normal. Everything is normal and the service is regular when the httpd just be started. It's OK in a periold of time. But. An unexpected situation occurs! The httpd forks itself many suddenly. So, the connection grows up very soon in a few seconds. Thousands of connections appear, and never disconnect.
