I think what I really need, is to have either Apache or PHP set the
effective user id to the owner of the directory. Not just for CGIs, I
understand suEXEC can do that, but for everything.
Then all newly created files would have the right owner, and I would
not need any files to be group readable. That would solve another
security problem I forsee.
Any way to do that?
