Andy,
How are you testing?
I'd be interested in replicating the tests here with PHP and Virtuoso
(www.openlinksw.com/virtuoso). Virtuoso is a substantially faster database
than anything out there - I'd like to see just how much faster with the same
setup.
Are you using specific database functions, e.g. mysql_connect etc., or odbc?
Best regards,
Andrew

Rasmus,
Of course, forgot about that. Linux will be included in the tests as well.
What are your views on donor machine. I was thinking Pentium 200 with 64 MB
Ram. Is this being a little unfair to Microsoft though.
I could use a PIII 600 with 256MB Ram or an Athalon 650 with 256MB Ram as
well as the slower machine but it will take me longer to achieve the results
doing twice the work now.
Andy.
