I've implemented the new connection method connect_simple() and deprecated connect_object(), which will still work but issue a notice. Now, do we really need connect_replace()? This is the method that will replace the signal widget parameter with a user supplied one, e.g.:
$drawing_area->connect_replace('button_press_event', 'replace', $window, array(1,2));
function replace($myparam, $event, $userarg)
{
/* $myparam is $window and $userarg is array(1,2) */} Is this useful at all? -Andrei
