No, connect_object() would only remove the signal widget. It would still pass the rest of parameters, e.g.:
$drawrea->connect_object('button_press_event', 'process');
function process($event)
{
/* only $event is passed */
}
$drawrea->connect_simple('button_press_event', 'process_simple');
function process_simple()
{
/* nothing is passed */
}

So effectively it's connect_object() with a new name? Now, do we really need connect_replace()? This is the method that will replace the signal widget parameter with a user supplied one, e.g.: $drawing_area->connect_replace('button_press_event', 'replace', $window, array(1,2)); function replace($myparam, $event, $userarg) {/* $myparam is $window and $userarg is array(1,2) */} Is this useful at all? -Andrei -- PHP-GTK Development Mailing List (http://gtk.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
