no, no, no, no. no. no-no.
The only time connect_object is passed to you, is when your Glade widget says that yes, here is a callback, but please pass this other widget as the first argument instead of me. That's it. It has nothing to do with calling static methods or not.

Well, I wanted to try it first and see if it was a stupid idea or a brainwave - sometimes it's hard for me to tell the difference y'know :) The main thing is to force connect_object to be used internally for classes, right? And they're always going to be static calls, ie they'll be fed to ZE as arrays, so spotting them's straightforward. The bit I'm not sure about is whether self:: and parent:: need to call connect_object too... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrei Zmievski" <andrei@gravitonic.com> To: "Steph Fox" <steph@zend.com> Cc: "PHP-GTK dev" <php-gtk-dev@lists.php.net> Sent: Sunday, October 30, 2005 8:58 PM Subject: Re: [PHP-GTK-DEV] Re: [PHP-GTK] ext/libglade complete?I think I do mind. What else has static methods that we're likely to want to use in a callback?Any other extension, possibly.
