i've run into the same issue in the *nix world. and had absolutely no success turning it on. paths where right... servers restarted...no luck....my solution, if you happen to be using apache is to place php_value register_globals = On in a .htaccess file in the folders where i needed it. this was the only way i could emulate the setting being on in php.ini. hope this helps.... jeff heilo <grillen@abend To: <php-install@lists.php.net> stille.at> cc: Subject: Re: [PHP-INST] register_globals can't turn them on... 04/17/2003 08:07 PM Hi! On NT-Servers the php.ini is normally located in C:\WINNT - Maybe it is the same for other Win-Versionsn? Probably it would work if you put your php.ini in C:\Windows ?? Anyways phpinfo() displays the correct path to the php.ini (quite at the beginning) Hope this helps? - matthias Alon Solell <alon@wsco.com> wrote@18.04.2003 1:21 Uhr: > Hi all, > > Now I'm looking to turn the register_globals on. > That one is somewhat odd.
