Just some inspiration really.....
Indeed there are others who have done it :o) I have compiled PHP
(4.0.3pl1),Apache etc on SCO O/S 5.0.4 without ever running into the above
problem. The main one I seem to have is when compiling with Informix but
that's working now aswell. From my experience though on the SCO O/S platform
if you want to add bits here and there it's best to compile from source. I
also use the GNU compile proggies rather than the native ones. I know others
like me who have had problems using anything else. I thought Sascha told me
he had compiled using the native cc but can't remember if it was on O/S or
Unixware - He's an exception though! ;o)
Frank Bernhardt, if you're reading this please don't give up yet. It's
*definately* worth it in the end.
