Just another idea for you internals guys:
$foo = firstset($bar, $baz [, $quux [, ...]]);
Assigns the first isset arg to $foo.
This would make one nice use of Sascha's GCC style
suggestion possible:
$foo = $bar ?: $baz ?: $quux;
But personally, I would prefer the GCC style syntax.
