I am interessted in AES too (or better Crypto in general. Should
be obvious after my Crypt_RSA announcement ;))
Today I searched for a C implementation, wrote a simple
PHP extension and here we are. I got a Crypt_AES class
(http://dickmann.homeunix.org/pear/pear/Crypt_AES/AES.php?source and
http://dickmann.homeunix.org/pear/phpdoc/PEAR/Crypt_AES/Crypt_AES.html)
which wrapps around the extension and adds support for
blocks larger than the blocksize (but no CBC yet).
It supports 16, 24 and 32 byte block sizes.
I will have a closer look, if a implementation in PHP can
be done with acceptable performance and in acceptable
time. Crypt_AES could then fallback to the PHP implementation
of no ext/aes is available.
XML_Encryption is a class to handle encrypted XML files?
