If I understood the description correctly, DB_Form´s approach is a little different from simply combining DB_DataObjects with HTML_Quickform - you don´t need to create a class that defines all fields, you only specify a table name, the class then reads all field names and types from the table and produces a fitting form. Did I get you right here, Sven?Yes. The idea is to simply pick a table, then create a form from it very much the way you do with pure HTML but with extra features and - voilà - there's your front end to the table. It's supposed to be flexible, secure (no form/SQL hacks) and safe (input checking), yet easy to use and fast to deploy. Bertrand Mansion wrote:
HTML_Table, DB_Pager. Personally, I don't see the use to reinvent all these packages that work wellAs for DB_List, you've got a point with DB_Pager plus HTML_Table. I'm gonna look into this combo and the amount of code it's requiring. -sven
