If you need less features with simpler api you might wanna
check DB_DataContainer (it was originally also called
DB_DataObject but since Alan introduced DB_DataObject I
changed the name). It is not part of PEAR but is PEAR compliant.
I could offer it to PEAR but never did since there already
is the DB_DataObject.
The main difference is one object allways represents one
row in database. Multiobject actions are provided via
one static method. With recend PHP with working overload
extension you can also generate accessor (getXxx() and
setXxx()) methods runtime. No external config files are
required you just need to have corresponding property
names in the extending class and the column names in
the database table.
