What do you mean with bundled packages? Are you making snapshots of PEAR packages written in PHP? If so, I think that is a _very_ bad idea. At least I am not interested in responding to questions or bug reports from people who are installing unreleased code.
I agree completely. We need to put latest stable package version into stable php4 snapshots and releases. Trouble is there is no way to do this from cvs or I don't know how to? Is downloading the only options here?
function getCVSTags() {
    global $lines;
    $tags = array();
    $tags[] = 'HEAD';
    exec('cvs log -h package.xml | grep "RELEASE" | cut -d: -f1 2>&1', $output = array(), $retval);
    foreach($output as $tag) {
       $tags[] = trim($tag);
    }
    return $tags;
} and in fact I did it for http://pear.jawa.at you just need cygwin installed. bye, -- ------------------------------- ---------------------------------- Michael Bretterklieber - http://www.bretterklieber.com JAWA Management Software GmbH - http://www.jawa.at Tel: ++43-(0)316-403274-12 - GSM: ++43-(0)676-84 03 15 712 ------------------------------- ---------------------------------- "...the number of UNIX installations has grown to 10, with more expected..." - Dennis Ritchie and Ken Thompson, June 1972
