I do not see the point here. This is absolutely nothing to do with
fanatism. This a feature request for phpDocumentor. Please, read the
NetSMTP thread and phpDocumentor related links.

I do not ask to reinvent the wheel, but port the wheel to PHP. Is it not
what we have done from the early days of PHP?
I'm quit sure that is one of the best way to step ahead with PEAR as a
standard.
