First of all, only 1 package of 194 has been marked as dependant of
it:
$ cd cvs/pear
$ find -name "package.xml" | xargs grep -l Console_Getopt
./pear/PECL_Gen/package.xml
which could be easily fixed (just dropping the Console dep). Existing
installations won't be affected. By install instructions you mean
go-pear or install-pear.php? They will be changed too.
