Since Net_IMAP 0.5 the Auth code is loaded only if needed. if your IMAP server supports CRAM-MD5 or DIGEST-MD5. What do you think about splitting IMAPProtocol.php and IMAP.php in several files to load only the extensions that the IMAP server supports? (and the extension is loaded only if the user calls it) so you can have a full featured IMAP Implementation but you don't have to load a 120kb class So if tou implement a class Net_cyrus class based on Net_IMAP, Net_IMAP don't load all its functionality, only Quota, ACL and Folder Stuff. Jan Schneider: If you like my aproach (auto-loading functionality) please I like - if you want - to work together to define what components sould be splited and loaded on demand.
