The standard PHP function only provides magic, while mine provides globbing and magic. Now if you base the globbing on the Shared MIME Database and the magic on the magic.mime file, it's likely to create some small inconsistencies. To me, it would still make more sense to base both on the Shared MIME Database. Arend jr.
