Hi,
The code is fine, but I don't see why this should be a separate package. This is more of a code snippet than a package - something that should be cut and pasted into a project rather than included as a file.
I think you should talk to Wolfram and get HTTP_Status merged into HTTP_Header where it will be more appropriate. Alternately, it could be merged in the HTTP package, which Stig maintains, and is also pretty sparse.
-1 for HTTP_Status as separate package.
