Well if this finally is going to be a lead change and a package
enhancement, please go ahead, just Mika should add you as lead.
The package is still beta and haven't reach 1.0 version, so
it can be safely replaced. Just please provide a BC method, this is an
important topic, many people is probably using already this package.
If you don't have CVS access or pear web accounts please apply for
them.
