Regarding Quickform it seems we get like 4-5 a day as well.we have had this topic before, but I want to revisit it: Do we want to have project related mailinglists. I am saying specifically not package mailinglists, but more generic. In some cases however a single package is large enough to be considered a project. Anyways the distinction seems somewhat constructed :-) Currently I see the need for the following project mailinglists: - LiveUser (already has one running thx to Markus) - QuickformDo you have some concrete numbers regarding the traffic for those two projects?
Well the topic has generated about 20-30 mails a month I would say (just guestimating here) plus the X threads on some OO table interface and we haven really started to discuss much. Note that currently the discussion was more along the lines here was my idea and then me saying wait for the awesome DB_Schema. :-) Since the goal of DB_Schema is to integrate a large number of PEAR and non PEAR packages I envision that the list will also get a fair amount of traffic in the long term.- DB_Schema (or maybe more generic "datastore" or whatever)Why do we need a list for DB_Schema?
Setting up pear-announce@lists.php.net sounds like a good plan for me. I can take care of that, if people want so.Yes sounds like a good idea as well. Probably we should subscribe all people from pear-dev and pear-general and stop sending the release announcements to those lists. regards, Lukas Smith smith@backendmedia.com _______________________________ BackendMedia www.backendmedia.com berlin@backendmedia.com Linn Zwoch Smith GbR Pariser Str. 44 D-10707 Berlin Tel +49 30 83 22 50 00 Fax +49 30 83 22 50 07
