Hi,

I agree completely - the documentation is the best place to put PEAR Group decisions once they are codified. I've mentioned this recently, and it will take some time to get everything in orderMy being new to PEAR, it would be quite helpful if all the little pet-peaves and unspoken standards were all laid out flatly and plainly in the official documentation. And yes, in plain enough terms that an idiot could understand. Because it isn't always that obvious.
Being deaf to recommendations from people who have been working on PEAR for many years to try to make it consistent won't help. This is also true, however, I don't think anyone is trying to step on toes. There are indeed problems with the documentation of PEAR, and this is frustrating for new PEAR coders. At the same time, seasoned coders like Bertrand only wish to help improve the newer packages. We must always remember, it takes effort and time to make a suggestion for improvement, and even if it occasionally feels awful to receive these suggestions, we must treat these suggestions with some respect. Flames belong in the fireplace, not in the mouth. :) Greg
