Hi,
I'm sorry but I seem to have stupidly :( worded my original email in such a
way that it says the opposite of what I actually meant to say. Please
disregard the original and I'll try again.
It seems that the latest version of XML_Parser in CVS has fixes that do not
exist in the most current PEAR package. That is, the latest PEAR package
1.0.1 has CVS version 1.5 (of Parser.php), whereas the latest version in
CVS is 1.8
Having read the code, 1.8 seems like a better implementation. Can this be
released in a new PEAR package? In the meantime can I overwrite my
Parser.php with the newer one (v1.8) without expecting problems?
I'm just being cautious because I have some code that relies on Parser.php
and I don't want upgrade or change it if there will be issues.
Hope this is more clear and thanks again,
Matt Friedman.

If you wish to install the older version, a simple `pear install
XML_Parser-1.0` after you uninstall the older one should work fine. If you
think the current 1.0.1 is way to buggy to use, please feel free to submit
this info as bug reports via
http://pear.php.net/bugs/report.php?package=XML_Parser
