Hi,Sounds like a good offer to me. One thing we need to do in the future is really push all bundled packages to PFC status (and also limit the number of bundled packages to the bare minimum too). We still need to define how PFC's really should work. I am working on a final proposal for this based on Christian Stockers earlier proposal that was discussed at the pear meeting in A'dam last year. Basically I think the QA team should have the sole right to release a PFC package. Maybe this is where we can first implement Jon's QA proposal of QA having to ok a given release by a maintainer. regards, Lukas Smith smith@backendmedia.com _______________________________ BackendMedia www.backendmedia.com berlin@backendmedia.com Linn Zwoch Smith GbR Pariser Str. 44 D-10707 Berlin Tel +49 30 83 22 50 00 Fax +49 30 83 22 50 07To be honest I seriously doubt that xml_parser is too buggy to be used. The installer uses it so if there is some critical bugs, we certainly already got them. I will take a look at the changes and the reported bugs. If there is any critical issues I will fire a new release asap. The patches in CVS are OK, I followed the development of XML_Parser and also submitted some patches. But I doubt that Stigg or Tomas will release a new version, as the last changes are quite old (5 months!) Again I'd like to propose that a get involved in XML_Parser. It still lacks some features like parse more than one file, namespace support etc. and I'd like to implement these. I'm quite active in XML development so I think I'd be suited for the task. XML_Parser is a really important package and the last version is more than a year old. Furthermore, there are no docs for this package. I'm cc'ing QA on this, as I think it's a AQ related problem.
