Without knowing your code, there's no way to tell. However, judging by the
diff between the two version[1] in the CVS, all the new changes seem to be
backward compatible, and as such should pose no real danger to existing
setups.
The real answer to this question however will be what Tomas or Stig say.
If you're afraid of not being able to upgrade afterwards however, you need
not worry. PEAR does not check if the file it's about to overwrite is,
infact, the same file as it installed for exactly these reasons. Feel free
to checkout the file form CVS, and overwrite your currently instaleld file
with it. If things break, you can easily revert back to the original version
by running
pear install --force XML_Parser, which will blow all your
changes away and give you your nice'n sparkling real XML_Parser back :)
