Yeah, not sure of it myself, but Greg's idea on the create() method sure looked neat, I had to try it out. I fear that somehow, no matter what we do, there's going to be some sort of splitting-up as some engines concentrate on some ideas and others on others -- but at least there will be some level of consistency in the implementations. Not certain that there's One Right Way to do everything for everyone all the time. :-(
I'll have to comment more tonight - as I've got to get back and finish some paid work :)
