The catch-22 here is is that PHP5 adoption in some shops will be determined by
PEAR package availability.
I completely agree with trying to roll this out for PHP4 (and am excited by
the possibility), but I do think that very shortly after it should be
implemented in PHP5 (without waiting on PHP5 adoption). Luckily PHP5 isn't
'stable' yet.
