Hi Aidan Lister!

I once copied this little function from Lukas which implements the desired functionality:
What does it do?Thought it was obviouse from name and code: It merges 2 arrays.
Another cool idea for the package would be a method PHP_Compat::auto(); which would then examn the environment and load all not available feature.
In PHP4.0.1, That would load over 30 files. I don't know if that's something I'd want people to do, rather than just loading the components they want. Why don't you want people to do it? It's their decision, if they want to. From my view, it's just a nice way to have everything in place. User's are not forced to, they just get the possibillity.
