Hi Aidan Lister! On 06/19/04 10:20 you wrote:
Thought it was obviouse from name and code: It merges 2 arrays.
Haha... What does it do that array_merge does not? What is this fault you were describing?
array_merge() does not merge multi dimensional arrays correctly, array_merge_recursive() does not overwrite keys, but duplicates them.
Another cool idea for the package would be a method PHP_Compat::auto(); which would then examn the environment and load all not available feature.
In PHP4.0.1, That would load over 30 files. I don't know if that's something I'd want people to do, rather than just loading the components they want.
Why don't you want people to do it? It's their decision, if they want to. From my view, it's just a nice way to have everything in place. User's are not forced to, they just get the possibillity.
Well yeh, I guess.
Was that a "yes", I will do? ;) Regards, Toby -- Tobias Schlitt GPG Key: 0xA6529579 a passion for php http://www.schlitt.info
