I believe you should do a bit of research if such a system would be really usefully or improve anything. Some things such a system should take into consideration. - When was the bug opened - When was the bug last changed (maybe bug was just updaed but created 2 months ago) - Type of bug (feature request for example should not be included) - Urgency and version (a bug on an alpha version is not urgent, severity of bug should be taken into consideration) - It should be usefull to the developers, for that the QA team should ask the developers what features such a system should have. ) I believe that the QA team should concentrate on other things in order to be usefully to PEAR. They should be testing new releases and monitoring CVS. Suggesting improvements to code and spotting bugs. They should be the onces opening the bugs not reminding us of it. Am seeing PEAR grow more and more beurocratic lately. For my recent updates on auth most of the feedback I got was related to CS. I know it is important but I think quality of code should come first and this is where people should concentrate. -- Yavor Shahpasov yavo@siava.org
