I understand your concern. Unfortunately we currently dont have a more efficient system in place. Unfortunately they cant be deleted using the current interface .. We are sorry for that.

well there is a reason. I don't have to go though each of the maintainers, find your email address etc. Also it leaves a clear note on the bug if a truck hits me, the next QA member can check when was the last remind sent. BTW I sent 1 note per package, not 1 note per bug !

This might be why people are getting ticked off. We are doing this for the first time and we still need to optimize our efforts. Next time we will try to make sure that it is more transparent that we are specifically after those long lingering bugs, which havent been touched in the timeframe specified in the QA RFC. In the end the idea is to find the bugs the relevant maintainers dont have time to address so that we know for which bugs we should find a helping hand.
