- - Devs shouls opt in/out of such a systemPEAR-Dev voted on the QA RFC which included reminders. Eitherway I dont see why we should go through the effort of making this optional considering the problem it may cause if you set the value incorrectly etc. If you dont want them you can filter them out.
- - Devs should not feel abliged to fix these bugs in any time frame (I guess exceptions apply here when a packages is abandoned)Its opensource. People dont get paid to work on opensource. Even if they do get paid its not us paying them so we cant complain. We can expect however that people take care of the bugs or inform us. This is mentioned in the PEAR manual. However even then we cant sue them :-) However as per the QA RFC if they dont have time to fix a bug then at some point QA might step in. Generally its the maintainers choice to set a bug as bogus or even to suspend a fix. QA is mostly going to go after serious bugs or bugs that linger without any appearent consideration from the maintainers. regards, Lukas Smith smith@backendmedia.com _______________________________ BackendMedia www.backendmedia.com berlin@backendmedia.com Linn Zwoch Smith GbR Pariser Str. 44 D-10707 Berlin Tel +49 30 83 22 50 00 Fax +49 30 83 22 50 07
