Would that not be "Foo/?group=Bar" -- since it's URL and all. Won't parse_url choke on Apache-like "path_info" stuff here?

Ah but explode('/', $parsed['path']) will not choke, grasshopper. it actually makes parsing slightly simpler, I did consider the alternative. I forgot to mention I already have to parse out version/state from stuff like channel://pear.php.net/DB-1.6.0 channel://pear.php.net/DB-alpha Greg
