UPS is *not* regional, they are quite commen in Germany as well. I would not encourage anyone to write a unified API for parcel services, like UPS, FedEx, DPD, etc. They offer different services, using different protocols and authentication mechanisms. Trying to unify this, well make the package a lot more complicated.
UPS is "aussi" quite common, it's mundial so get *regional* as *providial* I mean provider oriented, and it's a lot
BTW: I'd be happy to have a package for UPS in PEAR, so go ahead and start a proposal, I guess comments will follow once the information is available in pearweb. Mails tend to get lost on pear-dev... I too, like to get "parcels" in the right way, time and control...
