The only problem is that pear run-tests uses PEAR/RunTest.php, would you be willing to dive in there and re-make your patch? It will be almost identical except that all of the patching needs to be done in RunTest.php
Sure, I don't mind patching this other file. Where is it? (-: The pear that I tested on uses the one from php-src/.
In addition, I wonder if this is the best way to do it? pear run-tests --include_path="" may be a better option, as this doesn't require monkeying with env vars. However, if you always want a different include_path, then I can see supporting both. Don't worry about the option, I can code that later.
While I have absolutely no problem with an --include-path parameter, I'd prefer the environment variable. IMO, the _reason_ for env vars is to modify the environment, and that's precisely what this patch would allow. S
