Hi Dmitry Koterov,
Some simple work around HTML is not a bad idea.
I would say such a package could be usefull
in the area re-engineering some existing, full info, web site for example.
Even, why not prepare some stuff for "high-level" systems ;)
I totally agree with Alan Knowles: don't expect to reinvent the wheel,
regexp are great, but some more XML oriented exists since years.
What you intend to do is sure better in the W3C direction thru XML.
What I've been experiencing quite fine is get it sanitary using the good services of Tidy
and then XML parse and do what I want.
A little tekno remark: when a method wants to assign a $this->ref to one of its parameters, then should this parameter be a reference itself in the method declaration.
e.g. function addTag($tagName, $handler)
You should also take a look in PEAR's CS, your coding is not respecting a few standards.
e.g. conditional branches *must* be bracketed.
I know you mean it's not important in regard to the code's competences,
but you cannot skip that if it needs to be maintained by a group of people.
Anyway, PEAR's police is watching... :)
