I just ran some tests, and it appears that it sadly does not work.
it's easy to build a new pear repo using the pear command that way (i did
it).
but sadly, it completely ignores the /usr/share/php tree...
I'll go in the sources of PEAR package manager and try to see if a sth clean
can be make about that problem. and then I'll try to see how to code a pear
makedeb
I'll keep you informed
