Is there any particular reason why most of you do not participate in the votings? Is it because of the interface? Are you simply not interested in new packages? Not taking part in our "democracy" is definitely not very worthwile, because -- hey, you all are part of PEAR and you should be aware of what is added to _your_ project.Usually it is because I don't understand the package well enough to make an informed decission. Often I don't know the problem the package is solving well enough to say if the package does a good job at it or not. I don't think I am alone in saying that I don't have time to try and fully understand every package that gets proposed. Adding a vote to a package that I don't understand is worse than not voting at all. -- Scott Mattocks scott@crisscott.com http://www.crisscott.com
