Hi:
My Comments are below

similar to >Digester, but the rules are simpler to create (and they
can only be created using >XML).
I didn't see much resemblence between this tool and Digester. I
didn't see where the package provided for the trigger of some
processing when a XML element is encountered. For example, when a
transcoding server finishes a job another system receives the XML
fragment
.....
<media type="mpeg" filename="video.mpeg" archive="true" .../>
....
I would like to initiate the archive process upon encountering the
archive="true"
Digester provides the common plumbing, in the form of Rules objects,
for scenarios like the one above. Without Digester I would have to
code these steps
1) Get the value of the archive attribute using a XML parser or patConfig
2) Test the value
3) Construct the argument signature; retrieve other values, if
needed, for the
argument signature of the method that initiates the archival process..
4) Call the method
5) Do some post-processing on return values if need.
>Do you have any code
I have completed a sizeable part nearly everything in
org.apache.commons.digester
>Digester is creating tons of objects
I'm not sure what you mean here. Do you believe there is a superflous
amount of objects created? If so, why?
>...., whereas in PHP you would use arrays for >his.
Maybe I'm just slow, but I'm not sure what you mean here.
