Hi Pierre-Alain Joye! On 08/07/05 22:47 you wrote:Thanks. :-)b) Extracting the code Bertrand G. made from Text_Wiki (where it definitly does not belong) and create HTML_BBCodeParser2 from that. Text_Wiki can then have an optional dependency to support BBCode further on.Can I know a good reason why Text_Wiki cannot have a BB parser as another input method? Oh because Wiki in its name? Change the name.I do not see the point to maintain 2 packages for that, Bertrands implementation is way better than BBCode, let keep it there and help Bertrand to make it stable.Having Text_Wiki renamed to something like "Text_Processor" or similar and integrating all other text conversion packages to that would be fine for me, too. :) The Design of Text_Wiki is really nice.
But, is this possible im PEAR? What does Paul say to that?I would call it "Text_Markup" and say "yes." :-) While we're on the subject, I'd like to come up with a better way to collect parsing rules, the array of rules in the main Text_Wiki object is OK but I think it could be much better. But that's perhaps a discussion for another thread. -- Paul M.
