Gentoo also uses it's own portage-system to and install pear-packages to realize dependencies to web-applications...I'm a happy Gentoo user :) I was confused when I was seen PEAR packages in portage tree, but at this moment I'm very happy. It's easy to update PEAR packages with simple emerge --sync && emerge -uD. It's good work! Thanks. -- Ondrej Ivanic (ondrej@kmit.sk)
