Peter Bowyer (http://pear.php.net/user/reywob) has commented on the proposal for Images::Thumbnail. Comment: This duplicates a lot of Image_Tranform and provides a convenient interface by including caching - but thumbnail generation and caching are two separate tasks and as such should be handled by separate packages. The Exif handling is good and should be incorporated into Image_Transform.
