First off, a thanks to Pierre for all of his work, input, etc. I might not have always agreed with him, but his contributions were many and I thank him for that. What exactly does the PEAR Group do? I don't see any specifics on what they're exact role within PEAR is. They can vote (according to the docs) and there can't be more than nine. This much I know, but beyond that it's not clear on what exactly they control and how it's controlled. At any rate, if anybody is looking for someone to throw their proverbial hat into the ring I'd be up for participating. Is there a job description anywhere? :) --Joe On Sep 27, 2006, at 10:35 AM, Clay Loveless wrote:

The Administrative Document for the PEAR Group says that only PEAR Group members can change the members of the group. Can the Group members please take it amongst themselves to fill these positions or defer to an RFC that will repopulate the group?
I think Scott brings up a very good point. One of the things that I did notice in the reviewing the PEAR Group materials this morning (after reading Scott's email) is that the group size is a "maximum of nine" ... but nothing dictates that the max be maintained. Seems like it would be worth at least discussing whether or not nine members is truly the most efficient number, or if seven or five would be more efficient. Just a thought. Thanks for bringing this up, Scott! -Clay -- Killersoft.com --PEAR Development Mailing List (http://pear.php.net/) To unsubscribe, visit: http://www.php.net/unsub.php
