Comment: ($uppercase) ? $macaddr = strtoupper($macaddr) : $macaddr = strtolower($macaddr); Either switch that to an if-else statement, or do: $macaddr = ($uppercase)?strtoupper($macaddr):strtolower($macaddr); Much cleaner and easier to read.
