Cool idea. Would it make sense to create a section labeled "Activity" that could report this as well as other indicators of active maintenance?
I'm not sure what other indicators would be available?
Days since last release
Days since documentation update
Days since last CVS checkin
# CVS commits since last release
Any others?
# of downloads in the last <period>
# of bugs reported in the last <period>
# of bugs closed in the last <period>
# of bug-comments by developers in the last <period>
You might even wanna make <period> dependant /upon/ the activity. If nothing interresting happened in the last month, expand search period to 3months, or something like that :)
