This rank system introduces a certain competition between individual developers, especially because it appears under the names of the developers on the packages homepages. I believe it's better to promote competition between packages, and thus teams of developers, than individual developers. Otherwise we're gonna end up with teams composed of rivals. And this is similar to efficient but extremely questionable management practices. Regards, -- Olivier
