Especially if we rename the PEAR installer to a new invented name like I suggested on pear-core .. Please let's get back to the main question, PEAR2 and PEAR prefixeshave been discussed before and they have been argued in many ways. The current arguments is related to the name of Doctrine (DB_Doctrine, PEAR_Doctrine, DBv2, Database_Doctrine, etc) Personally, I am not for DB_Doctrine, but more for something along the lines of Database_Doctrine. I also think that DB_Classic and DB_Doctrine is plain ridiculous as it will confuse most users (Already confused with DB, MDB, MDB2, DBDO)
