pearweb installation

Hi, I'd like to prepare patches for my recently submitted bugs/requests in pearweb, and I'd also like to prepare some other small improvements to the website. Therefore, I need a running version of pearweb on my PC. I had tried to install it last year (before the website code was available as a package), and want to give it a new try this time. What are the needed steps? "pear install pearweb" is obvious, but what else needs to be done? And is doc/apache-setup.txt up-to-date (apart from the obvious changes that need to be like path corrections)? If the steps are documented somewhere, then please point me to the file. Thanks.
