I didn't because I thought I might as well just join the PHPExcel team,
which I had full intention of doing. It wasn't until after Christian had
added his OLE code, that I saw that the PHPExcel framework could not
handle different data types, like dates, which were very important for me,
and that my BIFF parser was able to detect. I eventually got distracted
from PHPExcel with other ideas that I had and converted to packages here
in PEAR and, of course, real work that pays the bills ;)

I think it'd be easy to slap something together... might be a good project
for students as the specifications would be easy enough to define and the
subject is very easy to understand.
